...from the "paper" trail to the Beargrease race trail! Duluth businessman, Bill Olson has signed up as a rookie to run a team of Alaskan Huskies in the 2011 Beargrease Mid Distance race January 30th, 2011. Stay tuned as Bill learns what it takes to train a team of canine athletes (not to mention himself) to run 130 miles of rugged North Shore trail. Beargrease is the most challenging dogsledding race in the lower 48 states.
February in Alaska is no place to be....unless you are mushing around Denali Park with 20 dogs and Nathan Schroeder, 2 x Beargrease Champion. That's what we will be doing February 12-16, 2014... Stay tuned for the journey of training myself and the dogs for this once in a lifetime trip!
